Established on 28 October 2012, it is the first private specialist cancer hospital in northern Vietnam, invested in and operated by Hưng Việt Trading Joint Stock Company; operating licence No. 29/BYT-GPHĐ was issued by the Ministry of Health on 29 January 2013.
It comprises 2 campuses at 34 and 40 Đại Cổ Việt, Hai Bà Trưng, Hanoi, together forming the "Hưng Việt Health System"; it has a formal professional partnership with Bệnh viện K (K Hospital, the Vietnam National Cancer Hospital) on training and radiotherapy technology transfer.
It runs 6 specialist centres: the Breast Cancer Centre, the Gastroenterology Centre, the Chemotherapy Centre, the Radiotherapy Centre, the Endoscopy Centre and the Health Check-up Centre; it receives about 30,000 visits per year.
It is a member of the Asian Integrated Cancer Center (IOC) network.

Strengths and key treatments
A radiotherapy centre with a latest-generation linear accelerator and a CT simulator (GE Discovery RT) supporting precise radiotherapy planning.
The chemotherapy centre applies chemotherapy regimens personalised to the type and stage of cancer, including targeted therapy and immunotherapy.
Thanks to the partnership with Bệnh viện K, the waiting time for radiotherapy is shortened from 1-2 months (at public hospitals) to 2-5 days.
The Breast Cancer Centre (HVBC) is a separate dedicated unit for the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
The team includes Assoc. Prof. Dr Lê Chính Đại (Director of the Radiotherapy - Chemotherapy Centre), formerly Head of Radiotherapy at Bệnh viện K and former Deputy Director of the Nuclear Medicine and Oncology Centre at Bệnh viện Bạch Mai (Bach Mai Hospital), with more than 40 years of experience.
