Cancer Institute Hospital of JFCR

The Cancer Institute Hospital of JFCR (Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research), located in Ariake, Tokyo, is the oldest and foremost specialist cancer hospital in Japan. Founded in 1934 as the first dedicated cancer hospital in Japan, it now operates around 700 beds and has major specialist units including the Gastroenterology Center, the Breast Oncology Center, the Thoracic Center, and the Cancer Precision Medicine Center.

It is known for high-volume minimally invasive surgery, advanced radiotherapy, dedicated outpatient chemotherapy, and organ-specific multidisciplinary tumour boards.

Research and precision medicine are integrated directly with the JFCR Cancer Institute, the Cancer Chemotherapy Center, and the Cancer Precision Medicine Center, driving early-phase clinical trials, molecular genomics, and bench-to-bedside translational medicine.

It has a dedicated International Services team providing medical coordination, second opinion consultations, interpretation and translation, and visa assistance for overseas patients.
