K Hospital (Vietnam National Cancer Hospital)

Bệnh viện K (K Hospital — the Vietnam National Cancer Hospital, also operating under the name National Cancer Institute) is the oldest and leading public cancer hospital in Vietnam, originating from the Curie Institute of Indochina in 1923 and formally established in 1969; the hospital marked 100 years of its founding and development in November 2023.

As a central-level public hospital under the Ministry of Health, it has 3 campuses in Hanoi — Quán Sứ (the main campus), Tam Hiệp and Tân Triều (the newest, largest and most technologically advanced) — and leads the national cancer referral network of 9 specialist cancer hospitals and 69 oncology units across the country.

It is widely regarded as the leading cancer hospital in Vietnam. It signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the US National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) in 2023 to localise international treatment guidelines, with expert input from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Stanford Health.
